What is WAP?

WAP (Wireless Access Protocol) is a mark-up language for mobile-specific Web pages. WAP sites are created to make surfing the Web on a mobile device easier to display and navigate than traditional Web pages.

What is CMT Mobile WAP?

CMT Mobile's WAP site includes news stories, photo galleries and a mobile blog specifically formatted and designed for the small screen. The news stories are fed to the WAP site automatically from stories posted on CMT.com. The photo galleries and other content are updated regularly several times a week.

Where is CMT Mobile WAP?

Specifically-designed WAP sites for AT&T, Sprint, Alltel and Verizon are available through those respective carriers. There is also a generic version of CMT WAP available on mobile devices at wap.cmt.com on the mobile browser. Most mobile devices will redirect CMT.com requests to the CMT WAP site.

What is planned for CMT Mobile WAP?

Currently text and graphics are the only supported formats for the WAP sites. Downloadable video clips will be offered on WAP in the near future. In addition, a ringtone/wallpaper store will be added to WAP when available.
